Nick was the lead builder on my renovation. During the twelve-week project I found Nick to have excellent commination skills. He always answered his phone or called straight back.
He had a real can-do attitude and was always accommodating in my requests. Coming from a trade background myself, I can really appreciate his eye for detail and his confidence when running a job.
I would have no hesitation in having Nick run my next renovation and I will be recommending him to my friends.

Nick was always on time, was happy to accommodate any last minute changes and always had helpful advice on alternate options when we were trying to work out what to do. Nick’s workmanship and skill is second to none and we felt extremely lucky to have landed him with the renovation. Nothing was ever too hard or too difficult and he went out of the way to talk us through the more complex considerations.
Nick was also a pleasure to have around the house – courteous of our space and respectful of our privacy – he pretty much became part of the furniture for 6 months of our life. The other thing I can’t sing Nicks praises high enough is in respect to his communication. Nick was constantly available by phone and often sent texts updating us on where things were at and also making suggestions where he thought we may have needed some direction.

RAYFIELD RENOVATION
Apartment renovation
Nick was engaged as the builder and foreman contractor for my apartment.
This was a major renovation in a large apartment, which required structural changes, a retro-fit in double brick walls for a new reverse cycle air conditioning system throughout and total renovations in all rooms: large kitchen and breakfast room, large living and dining room, two large bedrooms, study, three bathrooms and a large terrace. All of these were for high-end specifications and finishes. It required complete electrical rewiring for lighting, power Foxtel and Ethernet cabling and new flooring.
In all, Nick managed thirty-three detailed interior design drawings for this renovation, finishes and joinery specifications.
Nick brought outstanding skills in managing this large project, kept everything timely and completed the works ahead of schedule. Nick is thoughtful, conscientious, reliable, calm and cheerful, and he was a tremendous help in guiding me through all stages of the renovation.
Furthermore, he managed the sub-contractors well and anticipated any issues well ahead.
I have the pleasure of now living in a tailor-designed apartment, built to the highest standards and am proud to have this apartment as my house.

Thank you for the work you did to transform our home. We were so thrilled with the renovation of the first half of our house that, when we did a subsequent renovation of the rest of the house, it was obvious we should work with you again.
Given friends’ sorry tales about their builders, I was always so pleased and relieved by the fact that you were always on time and diligently delivered what you promised, when you promised, to a very high standard. I cannot recall a time when I needed to ask you to re-do any aspect of those many, many months of work. Your work ethic was excellent and I know how exceptionally hard you worked to finish to our deadline on both renovations. We lived on site during all the work and you were always so pleasant to deal with and you left the property safe and clean at the end of each day which we really appreciated with two small children.
The thing that most stands out for me about your work was that you approached it as an artist. We thought we’d have to hire a specialist to create a replacement section for our original ornate ceiling, so to see you personally and painstakingly create a new section was a revelation. You also did a fabulously creative job disguising a tricky wall gap that was needed to protect an important tree root – the tree is still thriving and we’re grateful it could be protected without compromising the look of our wall. You clearly took such pride in these, and many other aspects, of your work.
Thanks again, you have helped to create a space that we relish coming home to and the work is robustly standing the test of time and family life.
